Writing the Memoir – Truth Is Indeed Stranger Than Fiction
1:30 – 3 PM
Life is always more bizarre, tragic, or inspiring than any work of fiction. Recounting life experience, even for brief periods of time, requires a skill set that goes well beyond self-reflection.
- How do you focus the story?
- What is the real story not the actions but the emotions that people relate to?
- What are the pillars of writing a great memoir?
You don’t have to be famous to have a great story. Learn from three award-winning memoir authors on how to translate your experience to the page with vivid prose.
